Welcome to York Elementary School!

The 2023-2024 school year begins my third year as the building principal at York Elementary. Our school serves approximately 220 students in Kindergarten and First Grade. Our school has an enthusiastic and motivated group of students and parents. We collaborate with our families and believe that they are a critical part of our success. I believe that effective communication between school and home is vital to your child’s success in school. I welcome you to visit the school and take an active role in the education of your child. There are many options for getting involved and helping out with school activities and I encourage you to contact the New Philadelphia City Schools PTO group to learn more about the needs of our school.  

Our district believes in a strong commitment to education, and that dedication is very evident in the programs and opportunities available to our children. Our focus on the whole child means students are educated to become successful, productive citizens who are critical thinkers and exhibit moral character. At York, we work to create the best possible learning environment for each of our students. Our staff works diligently to create learning environments that are responsive to the differences in our students’ academic levels, social needs, interests, and learning styles.

It is my sincere hope that every child’s experience at York Elementary is one filled with engagement and success. Please know that my door is always open to students, staff, parents, and the community. By working together, we can accomplish many things! I look forward to seeing all of you soon.
