NPHS Softball Schedule Change 4/15/2021

Tonight's (4/15) Varsity Softball game at New Philadelphia between New Philadelphia and John Marshall will begin at 7:00 pm. 

The New Philadelphia City School’s Music Education Program Receives National Recognition for 6th Year
For the sixth consecutive year, New Philadelphia City Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education!  The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.  This prestigious distinction was only awarded to 686 Districts Nationwide! 
The Quakers earned the Best Community for Music honor thanks to the opportunities for all students in the district to learn and perform music. The NAMM Foundation’s reviewers also looked at the quality of the New Philadelphia City School District’s music faculty, their budgetary commitment to music education, and other factors. In particular, the school district was recognized for its supportive community, vast course offerings, and the quality of its student musicians.
This award recognizes on a National level that New Philadelphia Schools are leading the way with educational experiences for each child.  New Philadelphia understands that music and the arts are important elements of a well-rounded education for all children.

New Philadelphia City School District's College Admissions Officer Discussion Panel
On March 22nd, 2021, New Philadelphia City Schools hosted a virtual discussion panel with College Admission Officers from BGSU, Ohio University, and the University of Cincinnati.  Admissions officers led a discussion on what colleges/universities are looking for during the admissions process.

Adamhs Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties announce HOPE Hotline
Adamhs Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties announce the Tuscarawas County and Carroll County HOPE Line:  330-663-6812. 
The HOPE Line is a local number staffed by a navigator at OhioGuidestone who is aware of local and regional resources.  This is not an information line but an individual to walk with you or your loved one from phone call to the appropriate level of treatment services.  The Navigator will “walk along with you” to link you or a loved one to treatment services, recovery resources, answer questions about how to help, and will follow up with you so that you know exactly where to go and what steps to take.  Hours M-F 8 am-5 pm and Saturday 8 am -Sunday 10 pm.  You can call or text at any time including outside of these business hours.  All calls and texts will receive a response within 24 hours.
Open Enrollment and Building Transfer Options for the 2021-2022 School Year

Open Enrollment for grades 1-12  will be completed and submitted online ( under the Parent Portal Link) based on the timeline listed below. 

All current open enrolled students are required to apply for each school year. 

Kindergarten Open Enrollment will be via Google Form under Registration.
Kindergarten and 1st Grade Building Transfers will be via Google Form under Registration.
Kindergarten Registration 2021-2022 School Year
New Philadelphia City Schools Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-2022 school year will begin March 1st, 2021.  Students who are 5 years of age on or before August 1st, 2021 will be eligible for Kindergarten.
