Welty Middle School Presents - Once Upon a Mattress
Welty Middle School proudly presents its winter musical, Once Upon a Mattress. In this hilarious musical re-telling of the fairy tale, "The Princess and the Pea", Queen Aggravain has ruled that none may marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, marries. However, she has managed to sabotage every princess that has come along. Sir Harry, who desires to marry his love Lady Larken, goes off to the swamps and brings back Princess Winnifred ("Fred" to her friends) as a potential suitor. The queen is horrified and immediately begins to scheme, but Winnifred, with some help from Sir Harry, the King, and the Jester, isn't going to be quite so easy to get rid of.

MEASURING WHAT MATTERS TO YOU!
The New Philadelphia City School District is releasing a “Quality Profile,” a comprehensive, community-oriented companion to the state’s Local Report Card. The "Quality Profile" is intended to showcase additional measures that families and community members of New Philadelphia value in their school system, but are not part of the Ohio Department of Education's report cards. The Quality Profile is not intended to compete with the state report cards.
