Chris Weaver, Executive Vice President of Weaver Leather, has served on the New Philadelphia City School’s Board of Education for 12 years. He also serves as a Quaker Foundation Board member, volunteers at Community and School events, and works on multiple fundraising campaigns each year.
Chris resides in New Philadelphia with his wife Lisa and their three children Emma, Luke and Maggie. He enjoys watching sports, reading, and takes a special interest in History.
Chris is described by Superintendent Mr. David Brand as “A great leader, and child advocate who selflessly serves others and strives to achieve the mission of New Philadelphia Schools. We are lucky to have such a talented and committed member in our district and community, I truly value the support and efforts Mr. Weaver puts in to help others reach their full potential.”
When Mr. Weaver was asked what he would consider his goal for the Board of Education he responded “Utilizing the responsibility as a Board of Education to serve our community and strive for excellence throughout the district. Education is a cornerstone of strong communities, and New Philadelphia has a foundation of pride and support of its schools. The Board of Education has a unique opportunity to add value to others and contribute to the ongoing success of our schools and community.”
