Paperwork NEEDED BEFORE FIRST PRACTICE:

     Pay to play form with $25 (if they have not played another sport)

    Emergency Medical Cards

    Physical Forms (Must be up to date)


Practice Times (Please have a ride available by 4:30 at the Quaker Stadium) * Remind will be sent out if we need to stay at Welty due to weather.

    Weekly Practice Schedule:

        3:15 - 2 lap warm-up

        3:20-3:30 - stretch, team meeting

        3:30-3:35 - Team dynamic warm-up

        3:35  - Report to your coach

        4:10-4:30 - Specialties (these will begin week 2 except for the throwers)

            *times are always subject to change.  


Official Season and Mandatory Practices

    Season begins Monday Feb.23th. The 1st 2 weeks will be Tue, Wed, Thur. conditioning practices.  1st week (maybe 2nd) will be in middle school gym from 3:00-4:15.  Starting March 8th we will be 5 days a week at the stadium (weather permitting.)

    You must attend 10 practices before you are able to participate in a track meet.  

    All in season practices are mandatory daily. 

    Please respect the sport in season.  

        We support and encourage participation in other sports  but it is not excusable to miss a meet in order to attend an off-season sport.  When it comes to practices, we can make adjustments as needed.

    SPRING BREAK PRACTICES ARE MANDATORY!!!


Communication    

We plan to do all communication through Remind 101.  If you have not already joined, please text @nclarkso to the number 81010 or download the Remind App and join NP Middle School Track..   This will keep you updated on cancellations or any changes that may occur through the season.  If something comes up and you have to miss practice, please contact us through the Remind 101. 


Attire at Practice

    Be sure to pack your track bag daily for all weather conditions.  This is the time of year where the weather changes quickly throughout the day.  Your bag should include:

        __ shorts

        __ pants

        __ t-shirt

        __ long sleeve t-shirt

        __ sweatshirt

        __ Jacket

        __ Gloves

        __ hat

    If it is cold outside, please do not wear shorts!  

    When you go to a meet, pack a plastic bag to keep your items dry if it would happen to rain. 

    *ALWAYS bring extra clothes for all weather conditions!


Policy for Leaving Away Meets with Parents/Guardians

We are a TEAM and we support each teammate in each event (beginning to end).    

You are required to stay for all meets in their entirety to support your teammates.  

If you choose to not ride the bus home, your PARENT MUST sign you out in our sign out book at the end of the meet.  Notes prior to the meet will not be accepted unless there is a specific reason discussed between your parent and a coach prior to the start of the meet.  You are only allowed to leave with YOUR parent. 


Attendance--Practice and Home Meets

    Athletes ARE REQUIRED to stay at the stadium until the end of Home meets.  After the meet, there will be a short meeting and attendance taken


Spring Break (March 29th-April 5th) 

    Practices will be held (on days with no meets) during spring break from 9:00-10:30 am. 

    If you will be out of town, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. *You must bring us a note with the dates that you will be gone.
