Thank you for your support and understanding as we all navigate and positively embrace the challenges the COVID19 crisis has presented. I am very appreciative of all of your efforts in following our COVID19 protocols and precautions.
The staff members of the District are eligible to receive the COVID19 vaccination next week. We have been working very diligently with the NPHD to get the COVID vaccine to NPCSD staff as soon as possible. We are excited to announce that the New Philadelphia Health Department will be administering the vaccine to our staff on Friday, February 5, 2021.
Therefore, Friday, February 5th will be considered a non-instructional day for our students and a professional development day for our staff. This is not a remote learning day. Students are not to report to school on Friday, February 5, 2021. However, as with many things during this time, there still is some potential that this can change due to the supply of the vaccine. If anything changes, we will communicate it out as soon as we are aware.
