Food Service Program to Offer Free Breakfast and Lunches
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has granted New Philadelphia City Schools a nationwide waiver to permit our school food service program to offer FREE breakfast and lunch meals to ALL students through the end of December 2020 or until federal funds run out, whichever comes first.
This waiver applies to the breakfast meals and lunch meals ONLY.  Any ala carte item a child wishes to purchase, including milk, will be charged to their account accordingly.
For families who apply for free or reduced-price meals, you will still be required to fill out a free and reduced-price meal application for the 2020-21 school year.  Your child’s free or reduced-price meal status from the previous school year will expire on October 5, 2020, failing to complete an application for the 2020-21 school year will prevent your child from receiving free or reduced-price meals once the “Free meals waiver for all students” expires.  If we do not receive a free and reduced-price meals application for students who may qualify for free meals their instructional fees cannot be waived.
