Celebrating Fifth Graders!!!The time has come to say good-bye to our Fifth Grade Class!!!! What a wonderful group of students! It is our tradition to “Clap Out” Fifth graders as they prepare to begin their middle school journey. Unfortunately this year due to our current school closure the celebration will be a little different. It is our goal to keep all participants safe during our celebration. Please review our plans below so that we can successfully send our Fifth graders off to Welty Middle School.
Fifth Grade Clap Out Drive -Through
Thursday May 21 @ 6:00p.m.
Students may decorate their cars
Students (parents) will be in their car and drive through our bus lane
Students and other occupants of the car should stay in their vehicles during the entire celebration
Student vehicles will pause during the parade at the crosswalk area of the bus lane to receive a treat and be greeted by their teachers
Students (parents) will drive out of the South Elementary Parking lot after receiving their treat
Staff from South Elementary will line the sidewalk to cheer for our students and wave Goodbye
Due to crowd and social distancing limitations this event is limited to 1 car per student. Family members may ride in the car to enjoy the celebration
Pictures should be taken at home before arriving at the event. (social distancing concerns) Please stay in your vehicle.
