New Philadelphia City Schools is Proud to Announce a Partnership with the Tuscarawas County Library to Provide Literacy Packets to Our Students

New Philadelphia City Schools is proud to announce a partnership with the Tuscarawas County Library to provide literacy packets to our students.  The goal of this collaboration is to encourage students to continue to develop their reading skills throughout the summer. Our hope is that by getting reading materials into the hands of our students, we will encourage them to continue reading which is a foundation to all other learning. Packets will be prepared by our friends at the Tuscarawas County Library for K-12 students.

Literacy packets will be passed out at the same time as school food distribution on June 9th, 16th, and 23rd from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.  Parents can follow Leo Benjamin court located behind New Philadelphia  Middle school and High School to pick up literacy packets.

Additionally, New Philadelphia Elementary students will be able to pick up literacy packets at weekly scheduled literacy events that will begin June 17th and take place every Wednesday from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm at West Elementary school.  Elementary Literacy Nights will take place each Wednesday of summer break.  New Philadelphia City Schools would like to thank Tuscarawas County Library for their commitment to advancing the literacy skills of our students.
