Welcome! My name is Julie Erwin, and as the treasurer of New Philadelphia City Schools, it’s a privilege to serve the Quaker community alongside our board of education, administration, staff and students. As a proud alumni, graduating in 1983, I have deep roots in this district and a strong commitment to its success. With my background as a CPA, I bring a professional, detail-oriented approach to managing the district’s finances. 

None of the important work the treasurer’s office accomplishes would be possible without the dedicated support of my incredible team. Katie Christ, Assistant Treasurer; Janet Albaugh, Accounts Receivable and Payable Clerk; Rebecca Cox, Account Clerk; and Michelle Keitz, Administrative Assistant to the Treasurer, each brings a level of professionalism and care that truly makes a difference in serving our schools and community. Together, we process approximately 2,500 purchase orders, 2,981 checks and electronic payments, 26 payrolls and 620 W-2s each year. Their efforts are the foundation of everything we do.

Our primary goal is to ensure that we provide essential services while maintaining the highest level of fiscal responsibility. This means staying current on all financial rules and regulations, ensuring that every dollar is spent wisely and complies with state and federal guidelines. I work closely with the school board to keep them informed about our funding sources and to provide updates on new initiatives that may impact our financial outlook. We aim to build and maintain the community’s trust by sharing our financial status in clear and easy-to-understand ways. By providing user-friendly updates, we ensure that our community, employees and stakeholders stay informed and confident in how we manage district finances. Together, we remain focused on supporting the educational needs of our students and staff while safeguarding the community's investment in our schools.

I am very proud to serve in a District that combines my love for this community with my passion for ensuring the financial health of our schools.
