Denver Gallentine

Denver Gallentine, current Board Vice President, is a retired educator from the New Philadelphia School District, with 35 years in education.  He has served on the New Philadelphia City Schools' Board of Education for 6 years.  He also serves on the New Philadelphia Park Board.

Denver resides in New Philadelphia with his wife Sandra Truex-Gallentine, where they have raised two children:  a daughter, Aleesha Gallentine-Bradley, and a son, Christopher Gallentine.  Denver enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, Rowen, Athena, and Holden, along with reading, gardening, and woodworking in his spare time.

When Mr. Gallentine was asked what he would consider his goal for the Board of Education, he responded, "The Board has worked very hard to improve community and staff relations while creating a positive atmosphere.  We have also invested a great deal in improving the physical structures of the district.  My goal would be to continue to improve the district's aging buildings, along with continuing to improve the educational opportunities for the growing EL population."
