Each month, a fifth grade student is selected as the "Student of the Month." This selection is based on the criteria that these students demonstrate the following qualities:
                                                                                        * Consistently prepared for class
                                                                                        * Puts forth effort to do well
                                                                                        * Displays appropriate behavior in the classroom and throughout the school environment
                                                                                        * Demonstartes positive leadership skilld
                                                                                        * Has a willingness to participate in community service projects
