Meet 2019 Board of Education Member Ms. Janna Leeper
Janna Leeper, A Licensed Independent Social Worker for Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital, has served on the New Philadelphia City School’s Board of Education for 1 year. Ms. Leeper is a trauma specialist and trained in EMDR, and provides supervision and guidance to individuals seeking their independent licensure. Janna is a member of Faith Christian Church, volunteers at South Elementary and participates in numerous activities with her children.

Janna resides in New Philadelphia with her husband Brian Migoni and their two sons, Vincent (11) and Dominic (6). In her spare time, Janna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling.

Janna is described by Superintendent Mr. David Brand as “an advocate for the whole child. Ms. Leeper brings a great perspective to our board of education that has helped the district grow towards its goal of a personalized experience for each child. Her wisdom and compassion make her an exceptional board member!”

When Ms. Leeper was asked what she would consider her goal for the Board of Education she responded: “I feel that we have made progress towards making our schools safer and have taken steps to increase awareness to the importance of social and emotional well-being. I would like to continue raising awareness regarding the importance of social-emotional well-being, work with the community to develop a plan to address the structural needs of our buildings, and continue to ensure that our children are receiving a quality education that prepares them for a successful future.”
