Dave Frantz, 2021 Vice President
Dave Frantz, the owner of Frantz Grinding Co., has served on the New Philadelphia City School’s Board of Education for 12 years. Mr. Frantz formerly served as the 2018 Board President and as a Buckeye Career Center Board member. Currently, he serves on the New Philadelphia Park Board, New Philadelphia Cemetery Board, Tuscarawas County Soap Box Derby Association, is a Quaker Foundation Scholarship Sponsor, an Akron Children's Hospital parent mentor, and a Federal/State Advocate for National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions.

Dave resides in New Philadelphia with his wife Christa Frantz where they have raised two children a daughter, Meghan and a son, Zachary. Dave enjoys sports shooting, cooking, and spending time with his family

Dave is described by Superintendent Mr. David Brand as “an experienced leader who is compassionate and student-centered. His commitment to students with disabilities has made the New Philadelphia City School District one of the model schools in the region. We are lucky to have such a committed servant-leader advocating for our schools!”

When Mr. Frantz was asked what he would consider his goal for the Board of Education he responded: “I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to interact with a lot of good people; board members, employees of the district, and community members. I have been involved with many groups who collectively work towards goals that benefit large numbers of children. My goal would be to continue those relationships to help make New Philadelphia the kind of community where people want to raise their children.”
