South Elementary Named Hall of Fame School
The New Philadelphia City Schools and the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) are proud to announce that South Elementary in the New Philadelphia City School District has been selected as a 2018 Hall of Fame School! “South Elementary school is a model school, well deserving of such a high honor. The staff, students, and community of the New Philadelphia City Schools are all award recipients. Congratulations!” stated Superintendent Brand

The Hall of Fame School Award recognizes schools that engage faculty, students and the community to provide a quality school experience. The school staff submitted an extensive application documenting the effectiveness of their educational program in several areas. Hall of Fame Schools were chosen by two committees of OAESA members; one of which read and scored the applications and the other that conducted on-site evaluations of qualifying schools.  Committee members wrote the following about South Elementary; “This is the place where a personalized learning experience is a reality; from students with disabilities, to typical students, to gifted students, all are served to their greatest potential. Academics, emotional engagement, and fun are all rolled into one happy and vibrant place by a very cohesive group of educators, parents, and supportive staff.”

Principal Triplett states that “the school is proud of the accomplishment and the team effort to achieve the recognition.  Our staff strives to serve our students in a proud way every day.  We have a wonderful team of staff members and educators who work hard for our stakeholders.”

OAESA will recognize winners of the Hall of Fame Award during an awards luncheon to be held June 15, 2018, at the Hilton Columbus at Easton. This honor is one more example of how the New Philadelphia City Schools sets itself from others.
