New Philadelphia City Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. New Philadelphia CSD joins 476 districts across the country in receiving the prestigious award in 2016 and the only school in Tuscarawas County.
NPCSD earned the Best Community for Music honor thanks to the opportunities for students in our district to learn and perform music. The NAMM Foundation’s reviewers also looked at the quality of our music faculty, our budgetary commitment to music education and other factors. Our school district was recognized, in particular, for its supportive community, vast course offerings, and the quality of our student musicians.
This award recognizes that New Philadelphia Schools are leading the way with learning opportunities. New Philadelphia understands that music and the arts are important elements of well-rounded education for all children.
