January is School Board Recognition Month. The students of New Philadelphia City Schools benefit every day from the dedication and commitment of our school board members.Our board of education unselfishly contributes their time and talents toward the achievement of public education. They represent a continuing commitment to local citizen control and decision making in education and are dedicated individuals who are committed to the continuing success of our schools and students.
The New Philadelphia City School Board of Education members are; Mr. Dave Frantz - President, Mr. Jim Parrish, Ms. Janna Leeper, Mr. Denver Gallentine, Mr. Chris Weaver - Vice President. Being a school board member is a huge responsibility and one that should not be taken lightly. Too often we neglect to recognize the dedication and hard work of these men and women who represent our district and community. The staff and students of New Philadelphia City Schools are asking all community members to take a moment to tell a school board member “Thank you for caring about our children’s education.
