The New Philadelphia Education Association (NPEA) helped organize a district wide “Jeans” Donation Day (staff was able to wear jeans in exchange for a donation) to support member Michaela Elson.
Michaela who is a 2nd grade teacher at West Elementary, was diagnosed with a Ewings Sarcoma tumor which caused her to have her leg amputated this past summer. We are so proud that our staff was able to raise $,1582.50 for Michaela and are all looking forward to her return this winter!
