The health and safety of our staff and students are always our top priority, and we are continuing to work with local and state health agencies regarding the coronavirus issue.
As of today, Spring Break is still on as scheduled, but we are working with the Governor's Office and public health officials to deal with this ever changing, serious situation.
Education is critical, but not at the expense of anyone’s health. How we will handle instruction moving forward will be communicated once it is finalized. As this situation evolves, and more information becomes available, we will certainly provide updates accordingly.
Health experts recommend taking the following precautions to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, and the flu:
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

In an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), the state has ordered all PK-12 public schools to be closed for three weeks. The New Philadelphia City Schools will be closed for face-to-face instruction beginning Monday, March 16th. This includes all Pre-K and extracurriculars.
