What’s in a name?
During the third nine-weeks period, the band divides into two groups to participate in OMEA Large Group Contest.

For the past six years, we have called one group the Symphonic Band and the other the Concert Band. When the two bands came back together for the spring concert we also called that band the Symphonic Band.

This has caused some confusion.

Beginning this year, we will call the ensemble that plays at the Christmas and Spring concerts the Symphonic Band. When we divide for contest (beginning Thursday, January 12th) the bands will be called the NPHS Wind Ensemble and the NPHS Concert Band.
