Along with the other New Philadelphia City Schools, Central Elementary School works diligently to support character development, solid citizenship attributes, and leadership skills in all of its students.  Each month, students from our district target a particular character trait to put into action.  Students also share in a variety of activities linked to citizenship, whether it be our annual Veterans' Day Program of Black History Month initiatives.  Along the way, the core values of Responsibility, Respect, Commitment, Achievement, Excellence, Accountability, and Honesty  are emphasized on a daily basis.  The TARGET Program at Central is a positive behavior rewards program that recognizes outstanding student commitment to the district's core values and belief in being people of character!
