Welty Middle School

Service to Community Program

Program Overview: Welty Middle School has instituted a community service club to begin during the 2019-2020 school year. The purpose of this service program is to provide young people of WMS with the opportunity to give back to our community, to give youngsters the sense of being a good citizen, and to connect our school community with the community of New Philadelphia in a positive way.

Membership: Welty Middle School’s service to community program is available to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Meetings may take place throughout the school year to provide students with important information regarding upcoming volunteer activities. Students are encouraged to volunteer at least 16 hours this school year. Students will record their service hours and submit their documentation to either Mrs. Schie in room 310, or Mrs. Ricklic in room 311. Welty students who participate in the program should be of good standing.
