Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to the 2023/2024 school year to our Welty Middle School students, parents, guardians and families! I look forward to serving you all in my new role as principal of Welty Middle School, a position that has been a career goal of mine for many years. I have been a teacher, coach, and now administrator at Welty since 2008, and I truly enjoy being surrounded by the Welty Middle School students, families and staff. As a lifelong member of the New Philadelphia Quaker community I know the importance of the middle school years in the growth and development of our children and am proud to be in a position to have a positive impact on the young people in our community.
The beginning of each school year brings new opportunities for the students and staff alike. At Welty Middle School, we have 65 dedicated professionals who work hard daily to ensure that our students embrace these opportunities throughout the school year. Together we will achieve great things through our continued focus on academic excellence and social competence to help your child meet the demands of the ever-changing 21st Century. It is our goal that the students of Welty Middle School uphold our school values of responsibility, respect, and safety so that they can become positive and productive members of our great New Philadelphia Quaker community!
My top priority is the success of our Welty Middle School students both inside and outside of the classroom. I look forward to getting to know the students throughout the school year and building positive relationships to support their success. With the amazing welcoming staff, great support from families, and the common goal of promoting students’ academic and community achievements, Welty Middle School truly is a special place to be!
