Welcome to Central Elementary School!
Welcome to Central Elementary School! We as a faculty and staff are dedicated and committed to academic excellence while ensuring the growth of the whole child. Each day our school community strives to put forth great effort and commitment towards creating and fostering a learning environment that supports student growth and high standards for academic excellence. Through the implementation of a rigorous curriculum and assessment model partnered with opportunities for students to link relevant learning to twenty-first century skills, our young people are provided a foundation that supports the highest levels of learning while nurturing and encouraging a mindset towards college and/or career readiness.
While academic excellence is central to our mission, the students of Central Elementary School are also called to be people of service. During the past school year, our young people immersed themselves in caring for others. Whether it was collecting non-perishable food items for the T-4-C food pantry, supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl-for-Kids’ Sake, or raising funds for the American Heart Association, the students at Central Elementary School continue to shine! Additionally, our students and staff supported a number of community activities such as sharing their musical talents at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Holiday Parade, making several trips to the Senior Citizen Center to entertain the guests, and helping beautify our wonderful Tuscora Park.
Additionally, members of the faculty and administration continue to be diligent in their efforts to grow as professionals and seek the most current research-based instructional practices that support the academic growth of our students. We continue to refine our understanding, and hone those skills, that lead to full implementation of the Common Core State Standards while enhancing in our students those skills that will allow them to one day compete on a global stage.
Again, welcome to Central Elementary School and go, Quakers!!
